Integrative Physiology Conference

Venue

All presentations will take place in the main zoology lecture theatre which is located off the main zoology Foyer in the Zoology Building on Tillydrone Avenue (building 4 on the following map). Registration for speakers will be in the Zoology Foyer from 0845 until 0930 on the 22nd May. Attendees from the University and local Institutes are welcome at the presentations without registering. However, please let the organiser (John Speakman) know that you will be coming so we have enough coffee/tea. We can only provide lunch for the speakers and IP staff.

The Zoology Building is adjacent to the Cruickshank botanic gardens (circled red) and delegates are free to explore the gardens as well as the Zoology Museum during the breaks.

Accommodation

We have booked rooms for all the invited speakers in King's Hall. King's Hall is located just off College Bounds in Old Aberdeen (building 31 on the above map, circled blue). All rooms include an en suite shower room with WC and wash hand basin, toiletries, colour television, hairdryer, trouser press, complimentary tea and coffee, bed linen and towels. All beds are single.

Meals

Breakfast is served in Zeste Café (building 40) located in the adjacent Crombie Hall at the following times:

  • Monday – Saturday: 7.30am – 9.30am

Breakfasts on the 22nd and 23rd have been included in your stay.
Access to University Sports facilities on campus is also available at a separate charge. Facilities include swimming pool, gym, tennis courts and playing fields (like you will have time!).

It is about 300 yards from the accommodation to the Zoology Building. Best route is straight up High Street to where it meets St Machar drive, turn left, walk along to the roundabout. Turn right and the Zoology Building is the large 7 storey building on your immediate right. There are lots of maps around campus if you get lost.
