Travel - How to Get Here
By Car
If you are driving FROM THE SOUTH
From the Stonehaven Road (A90) progress to the first roundabout. Take the second turning on the left over the bridge of the River Dee to the second roundabout. Go straight across and progress up Anderson Drive. This is a long drive, broken only by a series of roundabouts and traffic lights. At the 5th roundabout (a landmark is a large radio mast) turn right into Cairncry Road. At the roundabout take the second left into Hilton Street. At the bottom of Hilton Street go straight on into Leslie Road. At next roundabout continue across, downhill towards the sea on St. Machar Drive (A978) and at the second roundabout turn right into King Street. After the playing fields on the right turn into University Road.
At the top of the road the Gateway to the accommodation can be accessed by turning left and immediately right. Once through the gates, turn right, then left and you will find King's Hall (a modern building directly ahead). Registration will be in the foyer of Crombie unless otherwise stated.
Air Travel
Aberdeen airport is serviced by BRITISH AIRWAYS, BRITISH MIDLAND and EASYJET who all have regular flights from London.
Current flight costs coming from London to Aberdeen on the 24th May and returning on the 26th are
- British Airways £78.60
- British Midland £78.20
(both these are from London Heathrow) - Easy jet £76.98 (from London Luton)
It is possible to get flights first thing on the Thursday morning and still be in time for the meeting. Do not feel obliged to take a return flight on the 26th if you want to spend longer up here.
Flights are also available from Manchester, Birmingham and East Midlands, but generally these will be considerably more expensive (several hundred £). Options are to hop on a train to London and fly up from there, or take the train all the way up (below).
From the airport it is about £7.00 in a taxi to King's Hall. If several of you are coming on the same flight it may be sensible to share a taxi. We will let you know if others have the same travel plans so that you can contact each other and arrange this.
Rail Travel

It takes about 7 hours from London (via Edinburgh) and about 6 from Manchester (via Glasgow).
