As part of our strategy to expand the Institutes activity we are seeking researchers at all levels whose activity complements our current research.
We are particularly interested to hear from researchers at the professorial level who might be interested in moving their research groups here and also post-doctoral research staff who hold, or are interested in applying for, independent research fellowships.
If you are an early stage post doc and would like to visit us to discuss applying for, or transferring your existing fellowship to Aberdeen, then please contact any of the Institute staff to organise a visit.
Our door is always open to prospective professorial staff who currently have international research profiles matched with significant research income. If your work complements our existing profile we would be very happy to talk with you about the significant opportunities to transfer your activities to Aberdeen. Unique Environment @ IBES
IBES staff are based in the Zoology and Cruickshank Buildings in the heart of the University's Old Aberdeen campus, and at Oceanlab in Newburgh and the Lighthouse Field Station in Cromarty. In addition to offices, modern laboratories and state of the art lecture rooms, the site has to offer the Cruickshank Botanic Gardens aand the Zoology Museum which underpin many undergraduate course practicals, and provide educational facilities for local schools through the University's Natural History Centre.
