Health Illness and Society Through Time

Health Illness and Society Through Time

Farr Scotland: Health, Illness and Society Through Time (HISTT)

Aims and Objectives

The overarching aim of this research theme is to link data from across the life course, across sectors and within families, showcasing the ability to construct and follow up cohorts through data linkage. Scotland’s track recording in recording data from across sectors and throughout life is well established.  This theme will work to demonstrate data linkage across the life course.

Research Question:

How can cross sectoral and health record linkage help us to identify and quantify the effects of modifiable exposures and experiences throughout the life-course?

The research question will be explored through a series of high quality research exemplars, showcase and develop Scotland’s ability to link datasets to answer research questions
