The Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research is hosting our first Patient Involvement Fair at the John McIntyre Conference Centre on the 23rd March. We are inviting researchers to learn more about how to carry out meaningful PPI relevant for your research.
The keynote will be provided by Derek Stewart OBE, Associate Director for patient and public involvement for the NIHR Clinical Research Networks Coordinating Centre and Chair of the Throat Cancer Foundation. He has been instrumental in advancing patient involvement in health research and has previously been involved at local, network, and national levels.
There will be opportunities to speak with members of our patient group and get feedback about your research, as well as attend interactive workshops co-facilitated by patient volunteers, including: Practical Planning for PPI, Including PPI in your funding applications, Writing an Effective Lay Summary and Top Tips for Engaging People in your Research.
