Biography
Katie Banister joined the Health Services Research Unit as a Research Fellow in September 2010. She has a clinical research background as a Medical Physicist working in physiological measurement. She graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Physics in 1993 and gained a PhD in Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy from the University of Nottingham in 1998.

Current Research
Katie is research fellow for the GATE study – a HTA funded multi-centre research study to assess the diagnostic performance of three automated imaging tests for diagnosing Glaucoma.
Katie has previously worked on a Health Technology Assessment investigating Optimal Surveillance regimes for individuals with Ocular Hypertension.
