Biography
Suzanne Breeman joined the Unit in October 2007 as a Trial Manager for the UKUFF trial; a multi-centre randomised controlled trial to measure the clinical and cost effectiveness of different types of treatment for rotator cuff tears. She graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1994 in Biochemistry and gained a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Aberdeen in 1998. After completing various post-doctoral postions within the University of Aberdeen, she moved to the biotechnology company Auvation Limited as a Senior Scientist. Since then she has worked in CHaRT (within HSRU) as the trial manager on the PRaCTICaL trial and is currently the trial manager for KAT; a multi-centre randomised controlled trial to assess four developments in knee replacement surgery, and PROSPECT; a multi-centre randomised controlled trial to measure the clinical and cost-effectiveness of surgical options for the management of anterior and/or posterior vaginal wall prolapse. Since joining the unit she has also gained an MSc in Health Services and Public Health Research from the University of Aberdeen (2010).
