Biography
Pauline Garden joined the Unit in February 1999 as Secretary on the RECORD trial. Prior to this she worked for Aberdeen City Council’s library services. Pauline has since then worked on other trials, REFLUX and SIGNET. Currently, she is the Data Co-ordinator/Secretary of the EAGLE trial. EAGLE is an MRC funded international multi-centre pragmatic randomised controlled trial (RCT) to establish whether removal of the lens of the eye (lens extraction) for newly diagnosed Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma results in better patient reported health, vision, lower IOP and other outcomes compared with standard management. Pauline is now also involved in GATE - a Comparative Study of New Imaging Technologies for the Diagnosis of Glaucoma.
