Biography
Mayret Castillo joined the unit in 2009 and gained a full-time position as a trial manager in March 2010. Mayret worked along with a senior trial manager setting up various clinical trials e.g. eTHoS, SUSPEND, SCARLESS and IQuAD and also as trial manager of two surgical trials led by Oxford, TOPKAT (Total or Partial Knee Arthroplasty Trial) and UKUFF (United Kingdom Rotator Cuff Trial). Mayret has lead the quality assurance work for the standarisation of HSRU clinical trial documents.
In February 2012, Mayret started a post as Research Fellow for an HTA Systematic review.

Current Research
HTA Systematic review on ‘Optical coherence tomography (OCT) for the diagnosis, monitoring, and guiding of treatment for neovascular Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD).
Co-author on Cochrane Review (Eye Vision Group) titled 'Topical antihistamines for treating seasonal and perennial allergic conjunctivitis'.

Teaching Responsibilities
