Biography
Kath Starr joined HSRU in October 2009 as trial manager for the CATHETER trial. She graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1996 with a BSc Pharmacology. Prior to joining the unit Kath worked as senior scientist in non-clinical research for many years, before moving into clinical research for a large clinical research organisation. Currently Kath is the trial manager for CATHETER, a large multi-centre, randomised, controlled trial assessing types of urethral catheters for their ability to reduce urinary tract infections in hospitalised adults.
