Biography
Katie Banister joined the Health Services Research Unit as a Research Fellow in September 2010. She has a clinical research background as a Medical Physicist working in physiological measurement. She graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Physics in 1993 and gained a PhD in Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy from the University of Nottingham in 1998.

Current Research
Katie is research fellow for the GATE study – a HTA funded multi-centre research study to assess the diagnostic performance of three automated tests for diagnosing Glaucoma. Katie is also involved in another Health Technology Assessment investigating Optimal Surveillance regimes for individuals with Ocular Hypertension.
