Biography
Jackie Ellington joined the Unit in August 2001 as Trial Supplies Technician for the RECORD trial (Randomised trial of vitamin D and calcium for the secondary prevention of osteoperosis related fractures in the elderly). She had previously been a primary school teacher for thirteen years. In April 2004 she took up the post of Secretary/Data Co-ordinator for the Knee Arthroplasty Trial (KAT) and was responsible for inputting, retrieving and maintaining data, along with other secretarial duties relating to the trial. In 2010 Jackie became Secretary/Data Co-ordinator for the eTHoS (either Traditional Haemorrhoidectomy or Stapled Haemorrhoidopexy for Haemorrhoidal Disease) trial.
