Biography
Elaine joined the Unit in August 2011. Elaine's research centres on organisational change and change management, using qualitative research methods such as interviews, participant observation and ethnography. This spans a range of contexts from private sector research on entrepreneurship and the contrasting demands of strategic technological change in the media, through to the complexity of achieving change in multi-agency working in the public sector. Prior to joining the Unit, Elaine was a Lecturer in Management at the University of Aberdeen and a Research Associate at the University of Newcastle. She also has private sector work experience as a Founding Director of Loaf Face, an award-winning artisan bakery, and as a New Media Development Analyst with Newcastle Chronicle & Journal.

Current Research
Elaine is joining the Delivery of Care Programme to scope research on new work practices for telehealth in the clinical areas of opthamology and stroke.
