Dr Bridie Angela Evans

“Public involvement in research: experiences and learning for the future”

In the workshop, Bridie will describe how we have involved public and patient members in their research at Swansea University and she will explore practical steps to assist research teams to work in this collaborative way.

Dr Bridie Angela Evans is lead for Public and Patient Involvement in PRIME Centre Wales, the research centre for primary and emergency care research in Wales, and at the Swansea Trials Unit in Wales. She is a health services researcher based at Swansea University and collaborates, alongside academics, lay members and health practitioners, in studies concerning service delivery in primary and prehospital settings. For her PhD, she developed and implemented a model for involving patients and public members in health services research.
