The video above has been developed for the University as a tool for those new to the scheme and those who require a refresher.  It contains useful information on:

  • the benefits of the Staff Appraisal and Career Development Scheme   
  • preparing and structuring an appraisal meeting
  • correct and incorrect practice of a meeting
  • setting objectives beyond the meeting.

Monthly Information Sessions

Through the Career Development and Staff Appraisal Scheme, the University aims to help all members of staff develop their full potential, enhance their sense of personal fulfilment at work and their ability to take advantage of opportunities to develop their career.

The Staff Training and Development Unit offers information sessions on the Appraisal process for Appraisers and Appraisees on a monthly basis. Details of forthcoming sessions are as follows:

Appraisal Skills Session

Taking on the role of an Appraiser can sometimes be a daunting thought.  This interactive session has been developed to help new Appraisers build on the skills they need to be effective in their role, and have the opportunity to put these into practice.
