DONALD WITHRINGTON POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP IN MODERN SCOTTISH HISTORY

Applications are invited for the Donald Withrington Scholarship in Modern Scottish History, starting in october 2011 (academic year 2011–12).
The scholarship is open to candidates who satisfy the following conditions:
- Current or prospective postgraduate students in any aspect of post-Reformation Scottish History.
- Able to demonstrate outstanding academic potential and have achieved at least an upper second-class honours degree.
The scholarship is valued at £6000 per annum and contributes towards the cost of tuition fees and maintenance. The award is tenable for a maximum of 3 years. Further details about the criteria and conditions can be found here (Word)
How to apply
Prospective postgraduate students:
(1) Submit an application form for postgraduate study in History (the postgraduate application form can be downloaded from www.abdn.ac.uk/sras/word_docs/pgapp.doc). You must note ‘Donald Withrington Scholarship’ in section 2 of the form, at ‘Intended Source of Funding’. This must be submitted to Postgraduate Admissions, as noted on the form, not directly to the School.
(2) You will also need to submit an application form for the Donald Withrington Scholarship to the School (details can be found on the form), the application form can be downloaded here (Word).
