- Medieval Gaelic Language I & II
- Early Germanic Languages
- Runes and Place Names
- Palaeography
Thematic Courses:
- Romanesque Illuminate Manuscripts
- Trolls, Druids and the Walking Dead
- War and Society in Medieval Scotland
- Rituals of Death
- The Followers of Lady Poverty
- Canon Law and Lawyers
- Courtly Love in Medieval French Literature
- Literature of the Crusades
- Viking Religion
Courses can also be chosen from other programmes where relevant, and students can choose a course from outside the field in consultation with the Programme Coordinator.
