Pathology and Forensic Medicine Collection
Clinical case files project
The clinical case files project began in January 2007. The project aims to digitise 1800 case files which accompany the physical specimens within the Pathology and Forensic Medicine Collection.
The case files were created between the 1930s-1950s as the Pathology Museum became established. They allow the pathology of the specimens to be viewed in the appropriate clinical settings. Now the collection is essentially in store, the information can be more usefully used if it is digitally linked to its catallogue entry.
The project is being undertaken by volunteers and is just one example of the many volunteering opportunities offered by the University of Aberdeen Museums.
Access to information contained within the case files is restricted.
