Marischal Virtual Museum
Marischal Museum is the result of gifts by graduates, staff and friends of the University of Aberdeen since the 18th century. It now has exceptionally rich collections, notably of Scottish history and archaeology, non-Western Ethnography, Egyptology and coins.

The Marischal Virtual Museum is a full record of views, QTVR panoramas, captions and layout of the museum galleries. It is underpinned by a rich database of thousands of objects, including all those on display, making it a rich resource for many purposes.

Online Collections
Since the mid-1990s, Aberdeen University has greatly benefited from a series of external funding initiatives which have allowed Historic Collections to provide web access to elements of its written, printed, oral and visual resources.

Some projects have been carried through by Aberdeen University alone, whilst others were undertaken as contributions to larger projects which include material from numbers of participating institutions.

The resources available here stretch from digital versions of medieval manuscripts through to twentieth-century printed books, and from early photographs to recently recorded interviews.
