Teaching

Introduction

HERU's main teaching is undertaken on the Postgraduate Certificate of Health Economics which it offers as a Distance Learning Course. It also has a range of other regular teaching commitments.

HERU contributes to teaching within the Departments of Public Health and Economics at the University of Aberdeen. Courses to which HERU contributes a health economics component include the MSc in Health Services and Public Health Research, BSc in Health Sciences, MA in Economics and the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics. HERU also contributes regularly to the North of Scotland Health Services Research Network, to introductory and intermediate level courses in health services research, and to the MSc in Health Economics at the University of York. Each year students from the universities of York and Aberdeen, and the Scottish Graduate Programme, can elect to undertake their MSc project with HERU.

HERU also responds to requests for teaching a variety of occasional lectures, seminars and workshops to a wide ranging audience.
