Biography
Ada Ma has an MA(Hon) from Edinburgh, an MSc from Southampton, and a PhD from Newcastle, all in Economics. Her research is primarily on labour market issues. Prior to joining HERU in 2005 she has worked on two ESRC funded projects - on how Devolution has affected public sector pay and regional pay differences, and on how home-ownership affects mobility and labour market outcomes. Her PhD thesis is on personnel economics, and examines the pay and promotion structure within hierarchical organisations.
