Welcome to the University of Aberdeen's
Healthy Working Lives Web Site!

This web site will guide you to the facilities and services available to all University employees to help develop and maintain good health, safety and well-being at work. It will also act as a focal point for health and well-being initiatives promoted within the University and link to external sources of interest and support.

It is recognised that the University of Aberdeen already strives to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all staff, contribute to the well-being of the community and take a responsible approach to protecting the environment. However, it is hoped that the Healthy Working Lives (HWL) Award Programme will compliment existing good practice and promote staff awareness and ownership of their health and well-being at work.

The University regards its Healthy Working Lives programme as an important strand of its wider commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. It also seeks to promote equality through the way colleagues treat one another in the workplace and believes that the way people interact will have a significant impact on how healthy their working lives really are.

It is vital that the information provided on this website is both relevant and of interest to staff, therefore we welcome your feedback and contribution to help us build a site which meets your needs. Please contact us with your news and views!
