The Theme aims to create strategic collaborations to significantly strengthen our national and international position to be successful in obtaining external investments and sponsorships. We believe that our unique niche of addressing ‘healthy aging’ from a cross-disciplinary perspective, including individual and societal aspects in the broadest sense, will be greatly relevant for future strategic priority areas of UK (BBSRC, MRC, Wellcome Trust) and EU (Framework Programme Horizon 2020-FP8) funding opportunities, as well as UK charities and Industrial grants.
