We are at the forefront of knowledge and understanding of health and disease
Our scientists are investigating the diseases and disorders that touch the lives of many families, looking for a way to prevent them, and developing new treatments and care when they occur.
Your continuing support enables our scientists to carry out research into a number of key areas, feeding into two main centres of medical research, the Kosterlitz Centre for Therapeutics and the Aberdeen Cardiac Research Centre.
The Aberdeen Cardiac Research Centre, established by the University of Aberdeen in partnership with NHS Grampian, facilitates cutting edge cardiovascular research led by academic cardiologists seeking to improve our understanding and treatment of heart disease, contributing to the fight against one of the most common causes of death in Scotland.
