The Centre is fulfilling a crucial role in allowing the community to connect with its history by ensuring the preservation, conservation and ongoing public availability of these irreplaceable treasures. The collections comprise of rare printed books, 16th century items, and irreplaceable archival collections with material dating as far back as the 3rd century BC.

Armorial Panels and Chapel Organ

This conservation project enabled the Chapel to preserve and restore the magnificent ancient carved oak which can be seen throughout the Chapel, including the rood screen, choir stalls, panelling, and the last remaining pre-Reformation pulpit in Scotland; also to specially commission an Aubertin Organ from distinguished French builder Bernard Aubertin, adding an exciting new element to this historic landmark.

Old Town House

Restoration of the Old Town House, originally built in 1788 and one of Aberdeen's most famous landmarks, now a 'shop front' for historic Old Aberdeen and an information centre for current and potential students.
