Dr Anna Ewins

Dr Anna EwinsDr. Ewins has served as an organizational consultant and leadership coach for the past 30 years. She helps build the organization, team and leadership capabilities required for success, bringing to her practice a powerful combination of strategic business perspective, deep understanding of individual behavior and cross-industry experience. Her clients are drawn from a wide range of industries, from healthcare, high technology and utilities, to oil, financial services and aerospace.

Anna established her consulting and coaching practice in 1988, after holding internal organization and management consulting positions in the US and UK. She subsequently served as an executive in Ernst & Young's Health Care Consulting Practice, and with Global Accelerator, an international consulting and investment firm supporting high technology start-ups. She is currently Managing Partner for Ewins & Winby, providing Organization Development, Change Management and Leadership Coaching services.

In parallel to her consulting practice Anna has been an adjunct professor on Ph.D. and M.B.A. courses in organizational behavior, culture change and leadership with JFK University and California School of Professional Psychology. She has also served as faculty for professional development courses such as Stanford University's Continuing Education program, Consulting Psychologists Press, and UC Berkeley's Extension program.

Anna began her career as a research scientist in microbial genetics at the Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine and at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London. Turning her focus to human development, she joined the Polytechnic of Central London as a career counselor, and then went on to The City University, London, when she began her management consulting practice. Career opportunities brought her to the Bay Area in 1982, where she has established her home.

In the community she has served on several professional association boards, such as Northern California Chapter of Association for Strategic Planning, the Bay Area Organization Development Network and the Editorial Board for its journal Vision/Action.  She is an avid art lover and docent for SFMOMA.
