The University of Aberdeen Development Trust
The University of Aberdeen Development Trust is a charity registered in Scotland, no. SC002938. Established in 1982, the Trust aims to raise funds for the benefit of the University of Aberdeen and its commitment to excellence and innovation.
We provide essential funding:-
- to provide a student experience that is second to none
- to support the excellent work that is undertaken by the University’s academics and clinicians
- for the preservation of historically significant buildings, special collections and gardens
- for new building projects such as the stunning University Library
We aim to support the University’s students, teaching and research while preserving its unique heritage, strengthening its links with the community of North Scotland and supporting the University’s commitment to internationalisation.
With the support of the University’s worldwide family of alumni, friends and benefactors we are able to widen access to higher education and provide students with opportunities which greatly enhance their studies and learning experiences. We help to create an environment that stimulates world-leading research while providing first-class facilities which ensure that students achieve their full potential.
We are committed to building on the success of previous fundraising campaigns and to advance the University’s position amongst the leading institutions in the world.
