Turnstone launched in 2011 to provide geoscience training for industry professionals. Our first set of courses are focused on structural and tectonic geology and geomechanics, but we are happy to work with clients to provide bespoke courses in structure, tectonics, geomechanics and sedimentary systems, and integrations of these themes, as we expand our portfolio. Funds generated from Turnstone are reinvested in training and research.

Structural Geology
Structural and tectonic geology and geomechanics are fundamental elements of understanding the sub-surface, with impacts on the exploration and production of oil and gas fields, and the storage of CO2 and radioactive waste. The University has a strong research grouping in structural geology and tectonics; individuals within this group have worked in and delivered training courses for industry. Our tutors are experienced educationalists with a passion for their subject, by training with Turnstone you will benefit from their research interests and training expertise.
