The term "outreach" describes the ways in which the department connect it‘s ideas or practices to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences or the general public and extends it‘s knowledge resources for the benefit of such external audiences
- exploHUB - exploHUB is a unique exploration training environment that will prepare exploration geoscientists for the challenge of discovering the Earth's remaining hydrocarbon resources.
- Mapping Mountains - An exhibition based on the original geological mapping of Scotland’s Northwest Highlands. The 1880s maps and field sketches document the first steps to a worldwide understanding of how mountains are formed.
- VSA - The Virtual Seismic Atlas is an open access community resource to share the geological interpretation of seismic data.
