Located at the heart of Europe’s energy capital, we are a leading centre of geological training and research. Working in partnership with industry we build on their data and methods to understand fundamental processes in the Earth System with specific reference to the World’s sedimentary basins. Our portfolio of training ranges from undergraduate level BSc honours degrees, through the full range of graduate programmes to professional training for industry.

Data from the 2011 National Student Survey and Unistats shows that 100% of our MSc and 80% of our BSc graduates who are working 6 months after completing their studies are in recognised graduate-level jobs. This places us first equal in the UK for postgraduate employability and second in the UK for undergraduate employability
