To access the Job Description Template and Guidance Notes please click on the appropriate link at the bottom of the page.
The University has developed a job description template that is to be used during the implementation of the Framework Agreement to gather accurate and up-to-date information about all non-Clinical jobs in the University. Guidance on how to complete the form has been prepared as have a number of worked examples (see the links below). If you experience any difficulty completing the template you should consult your line-manager, your human resources or trade union representative or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
The template was developed and agreed in partnership with the local representatives of all the recognised campus trade unions.
You are encouraged to complete the form electronically (see link below). The electronic form has been designed specifically for use if you are completing the form on your PC and is not suitable if you are completing the form by hand. If you wish to complete the form by hand please use the hard copy version which has been designed for this purpose (see link below).
Once you have completed the form you should sign and date it on the last page and then seek your line-manager's approval to the content of the form and ask them to sign and date the form on the last page. The form should then be passed to the Head of College/University Secretary, as appropriate for final sign off before it is forwarded to Ms Lindsey Webster, Framework Agreement Project Co-ordinator, Human Resources, Room 101, University Office. On receipt at Human Resources you will be sent an acknowledgement.
Advice on how to deal with a failure to agree the job description is given in the frequently asked questions section of the WEB.
