General Notes on Making a Payment
All payments should be made in Great British Pounds Sterling as this is the legal currency in Scotland.
Please note that we will not be able to accept cash over the value of £1000 for payment due to security reasons. If you have over £1000 in cash and wish to pay we would advise you to take the cash to the Bank of Scotland, University Branch, 91 High Street, Aberdeen and pay it into the University's bank account.
Once your application to the University has been confirmed, you can view all your financial transactions on your Student Portal. You can visit this by clicking here where you can see a statement of your account detailing all invoices and payments. Where possible and depending on the method of payment we aim to allocate payments within 48 hours although this may be longer during peak periods. Please allow extra time during September as this is our busiest month due to the start of registration.
We cannot accept transfers that include extra money for personal expenses, living expenses, etc and if received we will refund this money back to the original source account. Please note that there may be bank charges applied and if any transfer is needed and you will be responsible for paying this. If you are using the Student Pay service please ensure that any money sent to us is made from a valid bank account.
If any refunds are due the money will be returned to the original source i.e. if someone else pays your fees and you are due a refund, the money will be returned to them and not to you. If there is any outstanding debt against your account this will be deducted before any refund is processed.
