This is a past event

To celebrate the International Year of Light, we'll explore the fascinating story of understanding light, including Aberdeen's role - how our ancestors were wrong and we think we are right!

Our Cafe Scientifique Aberdeen City series takes place monthly in Waterstone's Union Bridge book store in Aberdeen's Union Street, usually around the middle Wednesday of the month. Sessions run from January through to October and are free to attend. No booking is required and places are allocated on the first-come basis. What's more, most events are free (though some require booking). All are pitched at a very accessible level and give ample time for audience questions and discussion.
