HUMBUG! A preposterous evening of Dickensian fun

A preposterous evening of fun for all ages inspired by some of Charles Dickens's most colourful characters.

There will be craft activities, quizzes and challenges, a photo booth, readings, live music, a talk by Dickens expert Dr Paul Schlicke and Dickensian-themed refreshments in the Library café. Anyone who arrives in Victorian dress will receive a chocolate shilling and there's an opportunity for everyone to join in our Victorian Flash Mob photo at 6pm - top hat and bonnet masks will be provided!

Can you pick-a-pocket or two with the Artful Dodger?

 

Make a moneybox for your ill-gotten gains with Ebenezer Scrooge.

 

Find out if you are a Gamp or a Nightingale in our "Kill or Cure" nursing Quiz.

Knit along with villainess Madame Defarge.

 

Come dressed up in Dickensian style to claim your chocolate shilling.
