An exhibition by Westpark Primary School exploring the life and experiences of a Peterhead whaler.
Westpark Primary School P6/7 spent the winter exploring the archives "storybox" of Davie Cardno, a 19th century whaler from Peterhead. Cardno stowed away at the age of 13 and spent the rest of his working life in the Arctic, and his archives are divided between his memoirs, full of exciting incidents from his life in the Arctic Ocean, and his observations of Inuit Life on Baffin Island. The school classes have created an exhibition of their work which is on display until 28th February.
