University of Aberdeen Model UN Society, Debater, Politics and International Relations Society and Mooting Society have joined forces to bring you the big debate of this semester.
Following the contested Iranian Nuclear Deal, nuclear disarmament is back at the forefront of international issues. Each society will be represented in teams of two in a panel-style debate, where they will have to answer prepared questions and questions from the audience . In order to insure fairness, the debate will be moderated by Dr. Bain from the politics department. And the outcome will be decided by popular vote. The debate is designed to increase audience participation and input as much as possible. So whether you agree or disagree with any of the positions, you should definitely come along, you will have the opportunity to voice your opinion.
