This is a past event

Showcase of the work carried out by dot.rural over the past 6 years including presentations, demonstrations, lunch and canapes.

The RCUK dot.rural Digital Economy Hub was created in 2009 to explore the opportunities for novel digital technologies in rural communities across the UK and beyond. For more information, see www.dotrural.ac.uk.

We are hosting a celebratory afternoon on the 18th of June 2015, showcasing the research carried out by dot.rural Hub over the past six years. The event will begin with a series of short presentations followed by an exhibition and demonstrations of dot.rural projects. Lunch will be available before the event starts from 1pm, drinks and canapes will be served during the exhibition.

From rural buses to bumblebees, first responders to food traceability, satellite broadband to social media (and much more) come and find out about the research with real-world impact we've been doing. Planned presentations include the Head of the Digital Economy Theme at Research Councils UK, industry user partners and Directors of the Hub.
