A lecture on the significance of priesthood

The word ‘Priest’ is often seen as a description of a type of Christian minister, beloved of more Catholic Christians, suspect for more Protestant ones! Yet the Priesthood of Christ is a very important theme in both Old and New Testaments, and priesthood itself is a much more complex and rich idea than is often appreciated. In this lecture, building on his recent book The Widening Circle, GrahamTomlin explores the significance of the idea of priesthood for the human calling within the world, the place and purpose of the church, and the role and function of Christian Ministers.
