In this talk, David Walker, who has been working as a researcher on the Buildings of Scotland project, part-funded by the Friends, explores the architectural history of the country house in the North East, and uncovers some of the stories that these remarkable buildings have to tell. 

David is one of the authors of the forthcoming publication in the Pevsner Architectural guides: Buildings of Scotland series: Aberdeenshire: North and Moray David W. Walker, Matthew Woodworth
