Advances in medicine, infection control and even technology often go hand in hand with war.

As we look to the centenary of World War 1 we'll explore the leading question of whether war helps science.

Our Cafe Controversial series is back for 2014, held monthly from March to June at Satrosphere Science Centre. Events commence at 7pm on Tuesdays usually around the start of the month.  No booking is required for this series and places are allocated on a first-come basis. Admission is free.
