Come for a fast paced demo-packed journey through the science of light and colour at this year's Discovery Day in Aberdeen at Satrosphere Science Centre!

Join us for a fast moving show all about light and colour. We’ll explore what light is and how it can be used. Watch as light bursts balloons and ignites matches. Listen as your favourite music is broadcast over a laser beam. And see our amazing laser musical instruments.

Lights Lasers Action is presented by Ken Skeldon, of the University of Aberdeen and Janet Milne of the Intelligent Lighting Centre at the University of Strathclyde. Originally commissioned for the Abu Dhabi International Science Festival, the show takes you on an illuminating, demo-led journey through the science of light and colour, featuring music and lasers and how the science relates to technological advances in our everyday lives - from DVDs to medicine. We’ll ask what light is and explore its properties. A not to be missed show suitable for all ages.

Come and see a special half-hour version of Lights Lasers Action at this year's Discovery Day as part of a much larger programme of activities and events from 10am - 4pm,

The show itself will run at 12.30pm and 3.30pm and early signing up on the day is advised.
