The University of Aberdeen together with the Scottish Schools Education Research Centre (SSERC) and the Institute of Physics (IoP) will host a practically based course focusing mainly on the CfE Higher Physics.
Introduction
The University of Aberdeen and the Scottish Schools Education Research Centre (SSERC) together, and supported by Stuart Farmer, Scotland Teacher Network Coordinator, of the Institute of Physics (IoP), will host a professional development day for teachers of Physics. The course will be practically based and will be almost entirely devoted to the new CfE Higher Physics Course. There will be two sessions run by SSERC relating to the new unit (Researching Physics) and to the new topics in the course. A third session will be a suite of demonstrations and mini-experiments, provided by the University Physics Department, relating to the course as a whole.
