The panda gets too much attention, and so we welcome you to an evening of comedy based conservation.

The Ugly Animal Preservation Society is a comedy night dedicated to raising the profile of some of Mother Nature’s more aesthetically challenged children.

Prepare for an evening of the ugly accompanied by several (if not more) well placed puns as MC and president for life Simon Watt, and an array of talented people lead you through the world of endangered things. All the comedians have ten minutes to humorously champion an endangered species of their choice and convince you, the audience, that their animal should become the city’s ugly animal mascot. At the end of the evening you'll get to vote for Aberdeen's very own ugly animal so get your thinking caps on and choose wisely. The Ugly Animal Preservation Society has been lucky enough to have had quite a range of wonderful people standing up to champion an ugly endangered species so far including Bec Hill, Suzi Rufell, Helen Arney, Dan Schreiber, Chris Dunford, Steve Cross, and Simon Watt himself. Turn up on the night to find out who your ugly animal champions are!
