Join us for a discussion on the future international development agenda with UK and Scottish parliamentarians and scientists. This is your opportunity to discuss with them the proposed international development agenda for 2015 to 2030. Will the new programme be more equitable, inclusive and responsive to the needs of vulnerable people? What will be the roles of civil society and the private sector in the new programme? This is your opportunity to meet with the experts and debate these burning issues for the future of "the world we want".

This meeting is being hosted by the University of Aberdeen Centre for Sustainable International Development and the United Nations Association.  Our speakers will be the Rt Hon Sir Malcolm Bruce (Chair of the UK Parliamentary Select Committee on International Development) and Mr Humza Yousaf (Scottish Minister for External Relations and International Development).  They will be joined by Professors Wendy Graham (University of Aberdeen) and Barbara McPake (Queen Margaret's University, Edinburgh).

The meeting is very timely as governments and civil society will have just met in New York at the United Nations General Assembly Special Session to discuss these issues, so it provides us with a chance to debate whether the proposed agenda meets our own aspirations.

The meeting will be followed by a céilidh organized as part of One World Week.
