Fabric of the Land is a series of open submission exhibitions linking art and science held within the Department of Geology and Petroleum Geology at the University of Aberdeen. The exhibition showcases selected art works alongside items of geological interest in a transformed laboratory within the department.
The exhibition this year is kindly sponsored by Dana Petroleum with additional funding through a New Arts Sponsorship Grant from Arts & Business Scotland. For the first time, awards will be presented to the best work, with a first prize of £1,500 and two awards of £500.
Join us for a celebration of art and science with a variety of local, national and international art mixed with geological specimens in a unique location.
Open 24 August – 13 September, 11.00 to 16.00.
