Doors Open Days in Aberdeen is a great way to find out about the hidden heritage on your doorstep. This is your opportunity to see behind the scenes of everyday buildings as well as important landmarks. And all for free!

The University is taking part in this year's Doors Open Day. There is a number of buildings participating, see a full list below:

- Cruickshank Botanic Garden: Tours of the beautiful garden will be available from 10.30am, 1pm & 2.30pm

- The Sir Duncan Rice Library: Guided tours of the Special Collections at 10am, 11am, 12 noon, and 1pm. The tours can accommodate a maximum of 15 individuals per tour party, tours of the Special Collections Centre will last around 50 minutes. Book tours at librarytours@abdn.ac.uk There is also a free Family Fun Arts and Crafts drop in session, from 12-2pm in the Events Area of the Library on this date.

- King's College Chapel: Conducted tours at 10.30am, 11.15am and 3.15pm. Access is only possible as part of a conducted tour (limited opening times).

- Institute of Medical Sciences, Foresterhill: Guided tours at 10.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm.
