BBC One Show Marty Jopson in Aberdeen for TechFest 2013

This is a past event

Standing on the shoulders of giants: A story told with gravity. Join Dr Marty Jopson, the BBC One Show’s resident scientist as he delves into the story of how Newton came up with his ideas on gravity. From the Ancient Greeks, through Newton’s genius, Marty brings the story bang up to date with the hunt for the Higgs boson. There will be flames and silly machines, and there will almost certainly be an eggy mess.

2013 will be the 20th Anniversary for TechFest in September and an ambitious programme of activities have been planned! Events will take place across the University Campus, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Click here  to view University of Aberdeen highlights and download the full programme.
