Come and experience an array of scintillating science with researchers from the University of Aberdeen, and other experts, at this years Discovery Day during National Science and Engineering week in Aberdeen.
A taster of what's on includes:
MEDICINE IN 3D Experience the latest in 3D techniques for teaching medicine being developed at the University of Aberdeen. An interactive drop-in session that will run throughout the day. MEET THE SCIENTIST Come and chat with staff from the NHS Clinical Biochemistry laboratory and see what happens to their samples behind the closed doors of the lab. If brave enough, adults can have their cholesterol measured. Children will get a chance to try their hands at scientific experiments such as colour chromatography! THE SECRET LIFE OF THE SKELETON Why is bone so strong? With the help of "skeleton Bob" a whole range of secrets about the skeleton will be revealed by musculoskeletal researchers from the University of Aberdeen. Free entry for all.
