In 2000 – 2003 COL Glunz served his first U.K. tour at RAF Molesworth, Cambridgeshire with the European Command’s Joint Analysis Center.  A combat tour in Iraq in 2004 followed with the Multi National Force. In 2004 he served in Washington D.C. as executive assistant to the Director of Intelligence of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Deputy Director of National Intelligence. 

After a Defence Fellowship at Queens College, Ontario, Canada in 2007 he served as Operations Director for the U.S. Pacific Command intelligence centre in Hawaii before being selected in 2010 as Commander of the U.S. European Command Joint Intelligence Operations Center,  Analytic Center, returning to Cambridgeshire where he lives with his wife Claudale, and three sons.
