Cafe Sci: The Maths of Dating

Cafe Sci: The Maths of Dating

This is a past event

It’s often thought that finding your perfect match is all about shared emotions and interests. But is it really just mathematics played out on a social stage? Come and discuss in our Valentine special!

Dr Marco Thiel, a mathematician at the University of Aberdeen, will explore the connection between mathematics and our personal lives. He will explore issues such as the science behind dating  and how we find the right partner, and explain why many of these questions can be solved using mathematics. So come join us for a Valentines-themed talk with a twist!

This is the second event in the winter/spring programme, which continues until May. Come along and enjoy the newly refurbished Costa coffee venue in Waterstones Union Bridge. As always events are free, no booking is required, so come early to get a good seat! Details of all Cafe events can be found at www.engagingaberdeen.co.uk
